Dr. Chandra Bhanu Satpathy is a noted scholar, spiritual thinker, author and a humanitarian. He is a personification of the noble principles of life such as love, empathy, compassion, simplicity, humility, devotion to God and sacrifice. As a heir to a family of great academicians and administrators, versatile young writer of his time, perfect family man, an accomplished and decorated professional, compassionate and humanitarian, an ardent devotee of his Master and a friend, philosopher and guide to millions of people across the globe, Dr. Satpathy has experienced it all with humility and equanimity.
As he holds, the year 1989 marked a turning point in his life when he visited the Holy Shrine of Shri Sai Baba located in Shirdi (Maharashtra). Ever since, Dr. Satpathy has been spreading the teachings of Shri Shirdi Sai and Indian philosophy assiduously over a span of 25 years, not only in India but also in many other countries as well. Under his inspiration and guidance, more than two hundred centers and forums devoted to philanthropy, community development, spiritualism and promotion of Indian culture, are active in countries like India, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, UK and some other countries in Europe.
As many people who have had a long-standing relationship with him say - even a short meeting with Dr. Satpathy may change one’s life forever. This unique process may not necessarily involve miracles or receive mantra to chant or receiving some preachings, but it is The Connection that he establishes with your inner being irrespective of who you are or where you come from. Such short meetings have influence and inspire people in many ways over the years - be it the creation of spiritual institutions, or inspiration to write or to realize the divine path prescribed by Shri Shirdi Sai and other saints. Some have even been inspired to establish educational institutions or to undertake various types of philanthropic activities. Recognizing the role of Dr. Satpathy towards spreading core values of peace, respect and compassion towards all, inherent in Indian Culture and Philosophy, Dr. Satpathy was invited by the US House of Representatives through the House Chaplain, to open the House of Representatives session, on June 24, 2015, as Guest Chaplain with a prayer. This is a unique honour, bestowed upon an Indian Citizen in it’s 228 years of history. In his historic address, Dr. Satpathy highlighted the values of mutual love, sacrifice and humanism as enshrined in Shrimad Bhagvad Gita and propounded by Saints of India

Dr. C. B. Satpathy is the Founder Chairman of Shirdi Sai Global Foundation. This organization inter alia, is committed towards social welfare. Under the guidance of Dr. C. B. Satpathy, the Foundation undertook massive relief and rehabilitation work in areas affected by various types of natural disaster.
Dr. C. B. Satpathy is the Patron of ‘Swabhiman’, a society in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, which aims at the noble cause of working towards establishing self-determination, equal opportunities and self-respect of the disabled people. ‘Swabhiman’ believes that a healthy society must be an inclusive society and aims at underling the fact that persons with disability are also productive element and equal partners in the society.
The Jeevan Deep Leper Colony is situated at R.K. Puram, New Delhi. Under the patronage, inspiration and supervision of Dr. C. B. Satpathy, the temple cum community hall of the colony was renovated and a temple of Shri Shirdi Sai Baba was got constructed and inaugurated by him on 15th June, 1995. In the premises of the temple, people feed the lepers, distribute clothes and conduct other social activities. Under the patronage of Dr. C. B. Satpathy, food, clothing, medical aid etc. are provided to the lepers. During the last two decades he has been associated with many such colonies inhabited by the leprosy affected in Modi Nagar and Ghaziabad.
Dr. C. B. Satpathy is the Founder Patron of Shirdi Sai Baba Public School at Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh. The school was conceptualized by Dr Satpathy and aims at providing value based education with the latest and highest levels of contemporary educational standards. The school reserves seats for the meritorious students hailing from economically constrained families and provides them with free education.
Dr. C. B. Satpathy is the patron of Sai International School, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. This school was also created under his inspiration and within a very short span of its operation, it has excelled in providing students with the best of education with the latest facilities and ample of scope for spiralling the students’ extracurricular activities. The school offers great opportunities to students under International Exchange programs.
Dr. C. B. Satpathy is the patron of Silver Oak Academy School, Shirdi, Ahmadnagar, Maharashtra. This school was also created under his inspiration and within a very short span of its operation, it has excelled in providing students with the quality education.
Dr. Satpathy has popularized different forms of Indian music, dance, art, etc. Besides, he promotes such Indian dance forms, which are on the verge of extinction like Goti Pua of Odisha. He has been encouraging the differently abled persons to dance and express their inner joy and thereby finding a meaning to their life. Under his patronage, every year on the Vasant Panchami day, a grand cultural function ‘Vasant Utsav’ is organized at the Sai Ka Angan in Gurgaon. Leading exponents of Dance and Music, Padmashree Birju Maharaj (Kathak), Padma Vibhushan Ustad Sabri Khan, Geeta Mahalik (Odissi Dance), Pundit Suresh Wadkar (Classical Songs), Ajit Karkare (Devotional Classical songs) have performed on this cultural occasion and have been honoured by Dr. Satpathy.
Dr. Satpathy has chosen the medium of writing books, delivering speeches, encouraging Indian classical and devotional music and service to humanity for the propagation of Indian culture. Dr. Satpathy has enriched the spiritual literature of India through books, articles written in various magazines and his speeches rendered on different occasion at different parts of the globe. His book "Gopyaru Agopya" (Means from the Unknown to the Known). Written in Odia language, this treatise deals with Hindu Cosmology and Cosmogeny, Vedanta, Sankhya, Purana, Brahman and Upanishad etc in the light of modern science.
Dr. Satpathy, was invited to open the United States House of Representatives (HoR) as Guest Chaplain on 24th June, 2015. This is a rare honour, having been bestowed on an Indian Citizen ever. The opening invocation provides a wonderful opportunity to affirm Spiritual leaders from many different backgrounds. Dr Satpathy’s address to the US Congress as Guest Chaplain was a remarkable moment for all Indians.
